Last updated: 22 October 2026. This page explains what information BuzzyTrip (buzzytrip.com) collects, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. We do not sell personal information.
What we collect
- Forms you fill in. When you use the trip planner, sign up for updates, ask to be emailed when a guide is ready, or send us a form, we receive what you type in. Form submissions are emailed to our team so we can reply. Newsletter and waitlist email addresses are stored in our website database.
- Guide requests. When you press Request this guide, we store the place you searched for, your browser type (user agent), the page you came from (address only, without query parameters) and a one-way scrambled code made from your IP address. We use the code only to limit repeated requests from the same connection; we do not store your IP address with the request.
- Comments and travel tips. If you leave a comment or tip, WordPress stores the name, email address and text you submit, any photo you upload, and the IP address and browser type used to post it, to help fight spam. Comments and tips are checked before they appear.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and understand which pages are useful. It sets cookies and receives information such as the pages you view, your device and browser type and your approximate location. You can block it with your browser’s privacy settings or the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
- Saved trips. Guides you save with Save this guide are kept in your own browser (local storage), not on our servers.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider, Hostinger, keeps standard web server logs (such as IP address, pages requested and time) for security and to keep the site running.
Services that see some of your data
- Trip planner: the trip details you enter (destination, dates, departure city, travellers, interests and budget) are processed on our server, and may be sent to an AI text service to tailor the plan.
- Maps: when a guide’s map loads, map tiles come from OpenStreetMap servers, which receive your IP address.
- WhatsApp: if you message us on WhatsApp, Meta’s WhatsApp privacy policy applies to that chat.
- Email: form notifications are sent through our hosting provider’s mail service.
How long we keep it
We keep newsletter and waitlist addresses until you ask us to remove them, form emails for as long as we need them to answer you, and guide-request records for as long as they help us plan which guides to write.
Your choices
To see, correct or delete information you have sent us, or to unsubscribe, message us on WhatsApp +91 95995 60061. We will reply and act on the request as soon as we can.
Children
BuzzyTrip is meant for adults planning trips. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change what we collect, we will update this page and the date at the top.
