BuzzyTrip is a travel site for people planning trips from India. Each guide covers one destination in India or abroad and tries to answer the questions we ask ourselves before a trip: when to go, how to get there, what it costs in rupees, where to stay, what to eat and which itinerary fits the days we have.
How we put a guide together
- We start from open sources: Wikivoyage, Wikipedia and Wikidata for background facts, and published climate data for the best-time-to-go section. Every guide lists its sources at the end.
- Photos come from Wikimedia Commons and similar openly licensed collections, and each one is credited to its photographer.
- Drafts are prepared with the help of software tools, then checked against the sources and edited before they go live. Where we are unsure of a figure, we leave it out rather than guess.
- Prices, visa rules, timings and tickets change often, so please confirm the important details with the official source before you book.
What you will find in a guide
- Day-by-day itineraries for different trip lengths and travel styles
- Budgets in INR, as ranges, for budget, mid-range and comfort trips
- Practical notes for Indian travellers: permits, visa notes for Indian passports, money, connectivity and getting there
- Honest pros and cons, including who a place is not ideal for
Free tools
The trip planner, Go-now scores, visa checker and festival calendar are free to use.
